 n have been sharing the gospel through music since the group was first for
 med in 1969 by three students at Olivet Nazarene College. Through the year
 s\, their ministry has reached thousands through church services and conce
 rts\, encouraging believers in their faith and pointing people to Jesus Ch
 rist.\nSince 2007\, The Helmsmen have ministered throughout southwest Mich
 igan and northern Indiana. Their concerts feature a variety of musical sty
 les\, from familiar hymns to lively Southern Gospel selections\, all prese
 nted with a strong emphasis on Christian faith and the message of the gosp
 el.\nThe current group brings together experienced vocalists and musicians
  Paul Richmond\, John Davis\, Dave McKeith\, David Tuckey\, and Jeff Thomp
 son. Their blend of voices\, musical backgrounds\, and love for harmony cr
 eates the rich quartet sound for which Southern Gospel music is known.\nFo
 r this special December concert\, The Helmsmen will present an evening of 
 Christmas music celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ\, along with the gos
 pel-centered music that has characterized their ministry for more than fiv
 e decades.\nThe Helmsmen have recorded several albums\, including their ne
 west project\, Did You Ask God\, released in 2025 and featuring songs writ
 ten by members of the group.\nThe concert is open to the community. Admiss
 ion is free\, and a freewill offering will be received. Concessions will a
 lso be available for purchase.\nBring family and friends and join us for a
 n enjoyable evening of Christmas music\, Southern Gospel harmony\, and cel
